Where's good to stay in Edinburgh?

John Gibbard replied over 3 years agoIs in Leith more than Edinburgh but is in as good location, plenty of local restaurants/bars and a couple of local pubs too. Service is good if not great. Room linen and the bed are excellent, really comfortable but carpets and furniture looked worn and stained in places. TV reception poor and no radio in the room. In-house restaurant and bar were very good, steak frites & tartiflette excellent for dinner and the eggs benedict superb for breakfast.
