Where's good to eat in Edinburgh?

  I'm over this place but the view of the castle from the back windows is good

  Possibly too popular for its own good but the back room with its view is superb and the food is generally pretty good.

  Used to be good about ten years ago, overtaken by it's own success... The views from the back room are great, if you can secure a table from the groups lingering over a single coffee. There are numerous places within walking distance that are as good or better, but without the view.
