Laura Francis replied over 3 years agoI can recommend the Watershed on the harbourside. Coffee bar, cinema and free wifi. Very friendly place and a centre for digital media and other media types locally.
This tip has the address "Watershed, 1 Canon's Road, Harbourside, Bristol BS1 5TX" -
Nick Piggott replied over 3 years agoSome of the McDonalds in the Bristol area offer free wi-fi if you sign up. The coffee is bearable, the apple-pie pretty good. Check the McDonalds website for eactly which brances - currently the ones in Broadmead and Bedminster (both Asda and Sheene Road) have it. Bristol is dotted with street kiosks, some of which offer free Wifi (if you sign up) called StreetNet - but they seem to be dying out a bit in favour of commercial networks. (Usually The Cloud and BT Openzone). Bristol has a reasonable number of Foneros and Foneras offering free WiFi. http://maps.fon.com will give you a searchable map.

idleformat replied over 3 years agoI've used the Deco Lounge in Cotham Hill - there are a few more Lounges as part of the chain around Bristol so I guess they have wi-fi too: http://www.thelounges.co.uk/

Dan Pope replied over 3 years agoAlmost everywhere. Thanks to HP being based there and running it as a test site it has some of the best wifi coverage in the country.

Chris Eaton replied 9 months agoMost of the city centre is covered by a city-wide wireless mesh called "Streetnet". It's claimed to be "the UK’s largest free public wireless network":
