Diana Ng replied over 4 years agoI find Parisians aren't as rude as most tourists think they are. I experienced doors opened for me, seat given to me on metro, a smiling face even after I almost caused an accident on the bicycle lane etc...

Peter Rukavina replied over 4 years agoThere are several options for getting up the tower, including making a restaurant reservation (which gives dedicated elevator access), taking the elevator and taking the stairs. We found the line for the stairs much shorter than the line for the elevator, so that's the option we took. It's a less strenuous journey than you might think, and we were up on the first level in 10 minutes, and then walked from the first to the second level in another 15 minutes.
There's a place to buy drinks and snacks on both levels.
Once you're on the second level, it's possible to buy a supplementary ticket to go to the very top. Note that if you do this you appear to have access to a separate (and much shorter) line than for those who bought their to-the-top ticket at the same time as they bought their other tickets.

Victoria Bodgers replied over 4 years agoDon't bother with the crappy overpriced eateries around Gare du Nord while waiting for your train. Take a short walk and get the best thali outside of India for 6.50 euros! Great, and very cheap, indian beer too. Don't be put off by the appearance of the place, the food is worth it.

Ilari Hänninen replied over 3 years agoCheap and trendy design hotel near Père Lachaise cemetary, designed by Philippe Starck. Very dark and gloomy atmosphere, lots of black paint and bare concrete that is cool for the first couple of days, but after that the lack of light in the rooms starts to feel depressing. Restaurant is quite good but also expensive and popular, reservation is usually necessary. Lots of bars and small restaurants around, bus stop directly in front of the hotel, closest metro station less than ten minutes walk away.

Simon Schoeters replied over 3 years agoNice small restaurant / hotel with a special atmosphere. We stayed here for 3 days. Make sure to check the terras in the back on a summer day. The food is delicious and not expensive, certainly not for Paris. The restaurant is getting popular and they don't accept reservations so be sure to get there around 19h30. Rob Hodgkinson replied over 3 years ago4 Star full service hotel with just less than 1000 rooms. Well situated, near to Gare Montparnasse and all the good restaurants in the area. Sometimes has a few too many American or Japanese tourist groups staying - but the restaurant and breakfast are good and it's reliably efficient and home from home.

Bertil Hatt replied over 3 years agoThe place to be seen; service is barable if you can stand waiters' arrogance. Terrasse is OK; half the seats in the the main room are horrid stools—usually the one I'm seated on; uppser room is usually better. Sunday Brunch is original in its presentation, but not exceptional.

Com Bir replied over 2 years agoA Paris apartment for Christmas shopping
Fed up with the same old crowded shops as the Christmas season approaches? I've solved the problem – I'm off to do my Christmas shopping in the French capital! Thanks to My Apartment in Paris, I've found a fully-serviced Paris apartment for a long weekend in December, so for once I can't wait to get shopping. http://www.my-apartment-in-paris.com/en/for_rent.php/latin_quarter/studio/ordre-capacite
