Kate Davey replied over 3 years agoFor travelers on a very strict budget, there aren't a ton of great options near centre ville - the hostel is not the best and booking is a bit of a pain. If you have the option of booking something slightly more expensive than the super basic, though, Hotel la Residence is a nice option, and relatively affordable. It is pretty centrally located - close to Bellecour on the rue Victor Hugo, clean, and nicely appointed.

Com Bir replied about 1 year agoA hotel in the Rhône Valley for your skiing stopover We’ve just booked a self-drive skiing holiday for the New Year and were debating what to do about stopovers on the way to the Alps. Having decided that a break was a good idea, we came across a hotel in the Rhône Valley with the Interhotel group that does one-night half-board stays at very good rates, so we’ve booked online and are all sorted. http://www.inter-hotel.com/hotels/rhone-alpes/69-rhone.html
