Hôtel de l'Arve is a nice 2-star hotel just a 2 minute stroll from the village center and a 5 minute (uphill) walk to the closest ski lift. The rooms are an ok size, beds are good and you can either have access to the terrace or balcony. The sauna is nice after a day on the slopes. The breakfast has quite many options, not only the traditional coffee and croissants.

Stayed here on business and it is superbly set up for this. Free fast wifi, great rooms, great restaurant (Le Bistrot) and bar, great staff. For business or skiing I'd stay here without any hesitation - the best hotel in Chamonix I've come across.

A cheap and clean hostel with free wi-fi. The staff are friendly, it's right next to the bus route (important if you're wearing ski boots ;) and within walking distance of the city centre.
