There's nothing nicer than taking a walk along the Croisette in the morning on your way to a day of non stop meetings. The carousel next to the palais is a fun place to get crepes or a sandwich because really, everything is more expensive in cannes.
This tip has the address "Croisette" -

this is my second year staying at eden hotel and i think it's great with some funny twists. The new pool, gym, spa is wonderful and I was able to make use of it twice. It's hilariously decked out in euro disco changing colored LED lights and light house playing in the background. The rooms are large and comfortable and the staff is very kind and helpful.

Cannes English Bookshop 11 rue Bivouac Napoleon I always find at least one great book here every time I come.
Monoprix 9 rue Marechal Foch For all your needs, the hairdyrer you left at home, the bottle of water you need for your hotel, the wonderful French body lotion you crave, basically anything. But awesome and French.
Chink's 88 rue Bateguier ummmm. yeah. It's a thai restaurant with a super bad name. Political correctness has NOT made it to the French Riviera.
Comme Chez Soi 4 rue du Bateguier Fancy pants place with VERY typical provencal food. Not a bargain but good.
Le P'Tit Zinc 85 rue Meynadier Cute bar on the way up le Suquet. When we went last night it was nice and empty with cheap beers and a nice patio. Y algunos podrian fumar porros!
Morrisons 10 rue Teisseire Every town has to have an Irish bar. This is Cannes'!
