Châteaux de Bordeaux

The wines of Bordeaux come from properties called "Château". You can visit some of them around Bordeaux. You can see the caves, learn how the wines are made, discover those properties... See the tourisme bureau for more information about which châteaux can be visited.

Cannelés

The "cannelés" are one of the culinary specialties of Bordeaux. It is a small pastry with a ribbed shape, whence its name. It is very good with a coffee. La Tupina! In every guide book, and worth it. Really excellent food, cheap lunch menus!

La Tupina was great but we also loved Fernand, a seafood restaurant transformed from an old printing press with excellent seafood, found on quai de la douane.
