The local garden market on Saturday is an experience.

Cumming Street and Terry Walkare full of little places selling everything from home-made shell jewellery to clothing and consumer electronics.

The handicraft market on Stinson Parade can sometimes yield a find ... but you will have to bargain hard to get anything down to a reasonable price.

Jack's on Pier Street is where the less adventuresome shop for Fiji souvenirs.

There are a bunch of 'malls' in the Western model (albeit smaller) clustered around Thomson Street, Renwick Road and Ellery Street.
