Pekka Ketola replied over 3 years agoTampere has several beautiful lakes.
At wintertime it is a great experience to have a walk at Näsijärvi to nearby lighthouse Siilinkari. If you are lucky you will find a mobile coffee shop as well and enjoy the scenery with a hot cup of chocolate. You can also rent skates (at Mustalahti, close to Näsinneula) and try skating on the lake.
At summertime you can locate smaller lakes with the local map, and have close-to-nature walks. They are typically safe and clean. All lakes have nice narrow pathways around the lakes, and cosy swimming places as well.

Harrie Verveer replied over 2 years agoSimple cheap restaurant where you can eat a nice burger or a steak for cheap. Nice place to go if you're on a budget. Don't expect anything posh though. They do have an english menu if you ask for it.
Oh and beware of the burger called "hot hot". It's incredibly hot, seriously one of the hottest things I've ever eaten in my life! Not for the faint hearted!
