This is the place to go for enjoying the best drinks in Finland. Ask for Mika Vitikka (the Bar manager) and say regards from Eetu.
Torni also has the best Club sandwich in Finland.
Mika is the Author of a book about the best bartenders in Finland.

If you don't mind same-sex nudity(separate times for men and women, see link), and you're in Helsinki during the winter, this 1928 swimming hall is like a magically preserved bubble of old-time luxury. It's also smack in the center of town, near Stockmann's, in the corner just behind Hotel Torni. No need to bring anything with you--rent a 2nd floor "cabin" with a bed, towel, sauna seat cover and bathrobe for 12€ (or just a dressing room for around 5€, but it isn't the same), then swim and sauna in a serene Roman baths atmosphere, returning finally to your cabin overlooking the pool to sleep, read or order something off the café menu to drink or snack on as you laze around like Nero. Cozy decadence.

When out in bars or clubs in Helsinki ask for a "Fisu" shooter/shot. Fisu is very rarely available outside Finland, and it's often "made" by the bars themselfs. It's usually grain based (vodka -type) alcohol with a heavy infusion of Fisherman's Friend, and occasionally some Salty Liquorice (Salmiak). There are different versions of Fisu out there thou, and you never know which one the bar has ;-) Some variations are vodka and just about any breath freshener infused into it.
Try it! you either love it or hate it ;-)

"Best in Finland" was all that the swaying Finn would grunt at me with a smile at 3am. Try the Jaskans Special at least once in your life provided you have adequate medical cover.

If you're a frequent traveller to Helsinki, you may have given up on the sad state of chinese food in this city. Luckily there's hope: Dong Bei Hu on Museokatu (the short end, between Runeberginkatu and Mechelininkatu) serves honest-to-god real Sichuan and North-East Chinese dishes, with nary a limp defrosted vegetable in sight. Make sure to ask for the garlic eggplant dish.

A little Italian that serves wicked tiramisu. Pasta dishes are great too.
