Kauniainen has a small shopping mall. It is in the middle of the city. Yopu can't miss it. It's not very beautiful.

Kauniainen being a small city inside a large city of Espoo, I would recommend people to shop in Sello shoping center in Leppävaara, Espoo, which is a few kilometres from Kauniainen eastwards.

What you can do in Kauniainen is to have a tour of Nordic walking around the small lake of Gallträsk. Or you can go to the top of Grani-hill, where small children study their skills in slalom skiing during winter time on man-made or even on natural snow. As a small town, Kauniainen has 5 football fields, the main field next to the small swimming hall.
