Inma Martinez replied over 3 years agoThis hotel is in a privileged location to shop, go out at night and visit the Ciutat de las Arts, the modernist and complex constructions for the Opera House, the Acquarium museum and City of Sciences buildings built by visionary Spanish architect Calatrava.
The hotel is urban modern, the result of the refurbishing of an old XV palace. The rooms converge onto a courtyard. If you want peace and quiet, ask for a room not onto the courtyard. It's rather noisy. The Spa is another downside because the therapists running it are not that great compared to UK or Finnish levels. My massage was more like a rubbing suntan lotion onto my body more than anything else.
If you want to have breakfast outside the hotel, there are great places around in nearby streets. Just ask the reception team. Everyone understands that tourists want the real experience.

Hakan Nyberg replied over 2 years agoLa Pepica – is has been called la abuela of paella restaurants. Pictures on the walls include guests like Spanish royalty, Ernest Hemingway and Orson Welles. The kitchen with its traditional tile is fantastic and the old waiters move and behave just like… old waiters. Get a glimpse of it here: http://www.guidebook.se/?p=399
