Santander, Spain + Add a trip

Obviosuly a waking tour through the sea-front... First from docks along Paseo de Pereda, then Paseo de Reina Victoria, a tour in Magdalena's Park (former Royal palace premises) and finally to Sardinero beaches area (parks, promenades, Casino...). it's around 5-6 km so take your time to enjoy probably the most beautiful bay in Europe.

If your are lucky with the weather, then... go to any of the fantastic beaches in Santander and around. My favourite in the city is Mataleñas, close to the lighthouse. Great beach... but you have to go down and up quite some stairs. Transparent waters and a slightly hippier than the always-full Sardinero. It is not close if you plan to go walking, but there are public buses servicing the beach.
