David Marks replied over 4 years agoWifi in Europe tends to be paid, rather than free a la US cities. My recommendation is to get a 3G card for your computer or rent one when you get there. That's how the locals do things usually...

Eduardo Arcos replied over 4 years agoMadrid has a lot of free and open Wi-Fi connections. For work I usually go to Plaza de los Cubos, there's a Starbucks with big tables. In summer they also have tables outside. Also in Chueca area you can get lots of open access wi-fi networks, Diurno (Calle de San Marcos 37) has free access.

Pablo Escudero replied over 4 years agoI suggest the Plaza de Santo Domingo (St. Domingo's Square). Underground Callao or Sto.Domingo.

At MadridMeMata (http://www.madridmemata.es/madrid-wifi/) you can find free wifi spots offered by cafés, hotels, libraries...

Samuel Bowles replied over 3 years agoMaybe the particular Starbucks Eduardo mentions is different but most of the Starbucks I've been to both in Madrid and Seville charge an arm & a leg for WiFi. He is right however about the Chueca neighborhood: it's full of options. I'd suggest just taking a walk around there and looking for signs.
