Maybe its too late for replying , but I am newcomer to Dopplr . Answer to your question is very easy . Best place is PUERTO DEL CARMEN , no doubt about it . Especially in summer season ( July and August ) area is lively but not too busy as other popular resorts in Canaries or Mediterranean coast . Rgds Paco

Paco, vamos a ir a Lanzarote y a alojarnos en un hotel en Puerto del Carmen ... nos podrías recomendar algún sitio en concreto para ir a tomar unas copas? Algún sitio donde comer bien y barato comida típica de canarias? :) Gracias!!

I´ve only just joined but having lived on the island for eight years I´d recommend the North of the island away from the main resorts. Specifically Arrieta - which is a firm favourite with locals but well off the beaten track.
