martin brown replied over 3 years agoVery stylish tapas bar . I was invited by a friend for the tasting menu. Generally really good designer tapas , though I thought that many of the "raciones" were a little to salty . But well worth the visit .

Christopher Smith replied over 3 years agoA feast for all the senses, La Boqueria is a meeting place for all Barcelona - for everyone here is passionate about eating. Though most visitors don't have the opportunity to buy and cook their own food, you can still buy pata negra jamon de bellota to smuggle home for your loved ones. Go for an early lunch...eat tapas at El Quim de la Boqueria or at Pinotxo...

Jacobo Alvarez Naveiro replied over 3 years agoA small secret. Reservations only and they open at night. Run by an Australian Chef, with an international 'crew'. They have starte to open during the day as a 'Cafe' with a photo gallery on the back run by Madrid's 'La Fabrica'. Only yummie sandwiches during the day. Real nice food at night with two menus you can choose.

Inma Martinez replied over 3 years agoPetit Comité Barcelona is a fantastic place to savour true traditional Catalan cuisine with a modern twist. I was taken there by my Catalan clients and return every time I am in Barcelona. The interior design is modern wood and metal, a bit Philippe Stark-eish. Sit at the bar to watch the chef in action.

Eduardo Rosa replied over 2 years agoI decided last Friday to have a nice food experience but the night truned different than expected. The goal was Inopia, but we were very unhappy about it. Not related to the food, which we did not even had dinner there, but about he service and the expecancies that all my netwrok had told me. We had to queue for at least more than an hour, beforeon a long list only the firts couple was allowed to go in. Reason for that, the Inopia has a special smooking room, called the street were all future costumers are waiting. In resume, after that log hour, we decied to cancel our booking, at he view that some of the guests inside had already issued twice or more to enjoy togtehr with us the smoke of their cigarettes. That might be a never ending pack of cigarettes. On such prestensious restauant sooking policy should be more strict. Will not try again, but I wuld ecmedn to enjoy a nice Gin Tonic just cacross the street on a nice and calm ba called X.

Laura Bordeaux replied over 2 years agoThis is a wonderful garden, with superb views over the city. It's unusual in that it deals only with plants from Mediterranean climates: Spain, California, Chile, Australia, the Canary Islands... It's a bit tricky to get to, especially due to construction (as of May 2009). It's right across the street from the Olympic Stadium. Reasonable parking, no food other than a vending machine (I think...) Inexpensive!
Please note: the paths are all wheelchair navigable, but these gardens we built into the hillside, so the paths change elevation. Lots of walking, not much shade. Fabulous in March!

Marco De Vivo replied over 2 years agoBest sea-food restaurant in Barcelona - really fresh food, informal setting and intelligently priced. Located on the heart of trendy La Ribera/El Born, this place is a must go for fish and sea-food lovers. The restaurant has a unique fish market concept: you see all the goods on display, you order, you pay by the weight, they cook and you are in heaven! approximately 20-25 EUR per person (meal + wine).

Jess H replied over 2 years agoThe location is excellent and the price is right. It's a bit of a mix between a hostel, a hotel, and an apartment building with a friendly landlord. All rooms are private and few, if any are occupied by the young back-packer type. Some rooms have private bathrooms and/or terraces, and the whole place feels very quiet and nice. All the facilities are sparkling clean and perfectly maintained. Guests can come and go as they please at all hours, and the owner, Philippe, is multi-lingual and helpful.

Jess H replied over 2 years agoTypical Basque cuisine. Pintxos bar in the front and dining room in the back with a window into the kitchen. The steak with fois was probably the best steak I have ever had, and it was one of the few places in Barcelona that I had a satisfying meat-focused meal completely devoid of any ham. It's also conveniently located near Liceu, at the center of Las Ramblas but it manages to stay outside of the Ramblas bustle.

tony Ds replied over 2 years agoI stayed here with my partner for 4 days. We chose this brand new accomodation because you need only 4-5 minutes on foot to get to the Fira (Barcelona Trade Fair Centre). What is more is not far from Plaza de España and Barcelona main train Station (Barcelona Sants). The flat had nice size and design: it was fully equipped with Kitchen, TV LCD and Hi fi stereo. Even if Barri Sants is not the best place to stay in Barcelona, this accomodation was really ok, especially if you plan to go to the airport or to travel to Madrid by Train by avoiding carring your suitcases aroud the city.
