    loquo - accomodation

Private rentals (rooms/apartments) for short and long term. Price range from budget to exclusive, great for last minutes... Deal directly with the owner, thousands of listings for Barcelona alone, most with photos and availability.

The same site also covers other parts of Spain.

Apartments in good locations and nice personal treat

A great way to enjoy the city is to stay in a fully furnished apartment. We stayed four days and we felt like home, immersed in local life. The flat was luminous, large and totally renewed. It still kept the flavor of traditional Spanish (or Catalan) buildings but with a very modern and chic taste. We stayed in Eixample which is a neighborhood to recommend. Very close to Ramblas but not as busy or noisy as staying in Gotico or Raval which might also be sort of dangerous for tourists (beware especially pickpockets and your camera!)

The most exhilerating hotel In Barcelona - Hotel La Florida

Perched on top of Barcelona's highest mountain Tibidabo overlooking the city is Hotel Florida. A church towers behind the hotel and an amusement park to the right. They have a heated pool which is indoors and out. You can sip long island ice-tea on a deck chair wondering in amazement this beautiful city.

The Hotel Omm fails to completely charm me but it has qualities that you can't turn a blind eye to. Like location. Like breakfast. LIke a Michelin-starred restaurant. Like a packed nightclub. However, don't consider it if you want a quiet, romantic weekend, 'cuz you won't. Read more here: http://www.guidebook.se/?p=544

If you're looking for affordable & decent hotel in the city center, I can warmly recommend this based on almost week vacation in Barcelona, Spring 2009. Not luxury, but meets my standards of a nice & safe hotel!

A hotel that does its best to look very cool but fails to deliver in some very fundamental areas. Some images and the review of a not so overwhelming stay can be found right here: http://www.guidebook.se/?p=543

The staff was over the top attentive, polite and seemed hell bent on working and focusing on the customer. Like nothing i've ever witnessed before. The free snack bar is a great idea. The rooms were beautiful. Can't say enough about the shower. The extra lounge room was nice but the alley is really loud thru late afternoon till 11 pm so that was the one downside. But bedroom was quiet. Bed was really comfortable. Hands down, the best hotel I've stayed in in years.

Only problem is finding it. If you are renting a car, you will not find it on the map. You need to find the Meridian Hotel off the Ramblas and make your first right after Meridian, and then a left down the narrow street/alley to Camper. Very close to the museum and the college.

Hotel Praktik Rambla is a Low Cost Design hotel, with one of the possible best locations. Many places are in 10 minutes walking distance, but it's a nice area to wander around without a map as well.

The typical modernista building, which has history of more than 100 years, has a nice combination of antique and modern touch. I enjoyed very much the small details, from the colorful mosaic floor to the embossed floral shapes on the ceiling. The beds were more than big enough and comfortable for a pleasant stay.

The library was a nice place to take a rest quietely under the sun (in the middle of Barcelona!) as it was placed in a typical eixample patio. Oh, they have free wi-fi all around the hotel.

The Praktik is a urban low cost design hotel. Simple design and great location at a low cost. Simply Praktikal.

The hotel is located 3 blocks from one of the biggest street of Barcelona, Passeig de Gracia, in a neighbory area. Great places like Casa Mila, Casa Batllo, Vinçon are all in a walkable distance and Plaça Catalunya is only 1 station away by the metro.

Wi-fi is free of charge, and the beds are very confortable. Simplicity would be the best word to define the hotel. I liked it very much.

Perfect location close to the subway Liceu, La Rambla, the shopping, in the city central and close to the great restaurants and bars in El Born. Situated in an small street where no cars are allowed makes this a calm hotel. Unfortuantely quite small beds and the insulation is not the best. But the clean and modern rooms, free WiFi/wired Internet, guest computer, breakfast restaurant, nice staff, etc makes this a very good hotel for a great price.

Just outside of La Rambla and close to the city center. Decent rooms, late breakfast and a quite street make it a perfect hotel for the younger crowd. Because of its location it is not the most expensive place and has good value. Service is good and there is an internet connection you can use to keep you up to date.

Convenient stay in Barcelona for logistic and comfort of apartments. Really 2 minutes from everything: train station Sants, Barcelona trade fair, metro. Away from the congestion of the big city but at the same time near to all the places you want to visit. The apartments are freshly decorated with minimal style and full of light. It's a bargain if you are 4 people and really makes you feel like you were at home.

Very "praktikal" hotel as its name says. You've got everything you need: a huge & comfy bed to sleep on, clean rooms (minimalist as well, but I do like that!), friendly staff, fantastic balconies in the room (that was the best thing for sure!) and a very nice terrace :D

Also, it's centrally located (just a 5-10 minute walk to Plaça Catalunya, Passeig de Gracia, Ramblas...) but not on the hustle and bustle of Las Ramblas (I appreciate it at night because it is quiet and calm around).

    100% recommendable :)
