Molly Neuman replied over 5 years agoClub Natació Atlètic-Barceloneta
Whenever I have a day to spare in Barcelona I try to spend a few hours at the Club Natació Atlètic-Barceloneta. It's a pool/health club right on the beach with direct beach access. For about $10 you get access to the indoor and outdoor pools, fitness center and sun deck. For an extra 5 Euros you can access the spa room with salt water pool, jacuzzi, sauna and steam rooms. Bring a towel, bathing cap and a 50 euro cent coin for the locker room and plan to spend at least 3 hours there, more if the sun is out and you feel like laying around. Afterward, walk down Barceloneta along the beach and find the restraurant "rio de vigo" and try vino turbio. Yes, it might sound funny to drink right after you work out, but this is Catalunya.

Molly Neuman replied over 5 years agoCoolest bar in Gracia- Heliogabal
There are only two directions in Barcelona, towards the sea and towards the mountains. Heliogabal is near the base of the mountains in the Gracia neighborhood and is a perfect place to see small concerts and have drinks with friends. There are tons of great restaurants in the neighborhood and it's VERY easy to get turned around so just go with it. Walking home drunk you will definitely stumble upon a Gaudi building and is there anything wrong with that?

José Luis De Vicente replied over 5 years agoThe best restaurant in Barcelona is a Bar
And it's called CAL PEP.
Yes, it's very popular with the locals and the tourists, you cannot make a reservation, and you will need to make a one hour queue on average to get a seat on the long bar where you will be eating.
However, it's an experience you will never forget. Amazing quality, first rate ingredients, traditional catalan food with a touch of imagination -order the tortilla and be surprised- and if not cheap, quiet affordable if you consider how good it is and how expensive Barcelona is becoming

david valencia replied over 4 years agoHow dificult to get a place for stay
Even all the amount of hotels and hostels in Barcelona, it s almost imposible o get e cheap and confortable place for stay.
Could be better just get a on line reservtion with a short term rental company.
Easy, simple, fast and good prices for nice apartments.
Not complex reservation sistems.

Sit at the bar and watch a spectacular show of teppanyaki chefs prepare mouth watering dishes such as stuffed baby squid, various meat skewers and foie gras. Their tempura is to die for and the freshest sashimi. The restaurant is closed on Mondays and is located in Sarria - a posher part of Barcelona about 10 minutes by cab from the city. Definitely worth it!

Joost Elfering replied over 3 years agoImpressive building and does have a small museum in the lower levels about the building process. Problems... Lines are long (15 minutes outside and 45 minutes for the elevators). So if you cannot spend a lot of time inside I suggest buying a ticket for just the lower levels. You can also buy a combo ticket for the Park Gruell (has good value).
