Different Restaurant with really nice food. Reservations Only.

Cheff visits three markets each morning to ensure the freshest produce conceivable which means the menu changes constantly though, no paper is wasted as the menu is solely verbal. €35 gets you a three-course meal, of what, only the chef can say. Each meal is accompanied by a lengthy exegesis by the chef of how and why the food got to your plate.

El japonese: Great tapas - great interior

If you walk at the Rambla from the beach-end to Catalunya, you can take a left at Carrer del Pintor Fortuny. Then the restaurant is at the first corner on your left. Order different tapas and be sure to ask for vinegar end olive oil (the best!). Best meal this year so far :-) ... and at a reasonable price.

Very cool restaurants with friendly staff and good prices. Traditional Catalan cusine with locally sourced ingredients - not your usual Tapas.

The menu is in the form of a food magazine which you can also download from the website.

Great Vietnamese Restaurant in Barcelona - Hanoi

Do you like Peking Duck? Lettuce leaves with prawns or chicken mixture. This place is amazing! It took us two years to find and now we can't go a week without eating there. Order the 'Musi de Gambas' or 'Musi de Pollo' and the Vietnamese Raviolli's. They have an english menu also and a super cheap lunch!

The best Patata Bravas in Barcelona: Bar Tomas

This place is an institution. Don't be offended by the waiters grumpy, deep voiced manner - it's part of the act. Just smile. The only thing to really order here is the Patata Bravas (fried potatoes in hot sauce) and a cold beer. You'll reek of garlic and remember every bite for ever. It's also located in Sarria. You can catch a metro from Placa Catalunya on the S1, S2 or L7 lines (10 minutes away) or a 7 euro taxi.

OK Sarria - Best Hamburger in the WORLD!

Hands down the best hamburger I've ever tasted in all my travels!

My favorite is the ChiliCheeseburger with crispy bacon! Well done! Yummoooooo!!!

And it's a sports bar! Open for 20 years, 7 days a week, from 7pm to 2am! The owner says they only rest at lunch time ;-), that's why they're only open at night!

Can Culleretes: best and oldest catalan restaurant

i had 222 years anniversary supper in this magnificent restaurant. Waitress was so careful, always looked after us. Cooking was marvelous. The ambiente is old, but really fitting and very agreeable. I paid 29 € for a 3 course menu with a bottle of water and a good red wine.

The only thing that is really odd: Its just open from 21 to 23 o'clock and there are no reservations possible. So be there early enough :-)

Absolutley go there if you are in Barcelona!

Cal Pep plaza de les olles

a wonderfull tapas place where food is prepared in front of you and the taste is magical. It's of course really busy and you'll probably have to wait in line before you can get seated at the bar or on a table, so if you get a chance to make a booking, it's possibly better. Otherwise enjoy the charm and liveliness of the place once seated expect a fantastic food and drink time, and a price of 50 to 60 €/person including wine

Great meal at Centfocs past Plaza Catalunya near to Universistat. visit www.centfocs.com. Has business lunch for 10euro each day. Also cant go past Market Boqueria for a morning coffee and some fresh fruit or juice. The tapas bar in middle of market also excellent - pick up some produce for a do it yourself lunch in Park Guell. Finally the chocolate shop near Hotel Atlas, and the Church Santa Maria del Pi is brilliant for hot chocolate. Most gelati shops were excellent...yum.

Pla – that's what it's called. It's located, (read: well hidden), in Barri Gòtic and the address Ballafila no 5 will confuse many a cabbie, (I checked and double checked on the map and this was the best I could do...). But the food, the atmosphere and the staff. Can't recommend it enough. It's one of the most pleasant restaurant surprises I had this year. Last time I checked it was rated #6 of 2494 restaurants in Barça. There's a reason for it! http://www.guidebook.se/?p=546

This place was fantastic. I hadn't found many places with portions large enough to fill my appetite. The calf sirloin was fantasic. It is served to order on a hot slab of rock along with some potatoes. Your food continues to cook on the slab as you eat. The portions were great, the drinks were made very well and I was pleased to walk away with a smile on my face after dinner. This place is also right on the beach so the sights and sounds of the Mediterranean while you eat help add to the satisfaction of eating here.

A fantastic atmospheric place! This place feels and breathes history. Going into the little bar in the front might confuse you at first but you will be lead trough the kitchen into a small but atmospheric family place. Although the place is called the snail it is not the famous food. The chickens are roasted outside on the street corner in the specially build roasting place. That alone is a spectacle, the inside is just as special.
