    Negotiate

    * Don't pay the taxis more than 15 EGP * Use the Microbus Service, it's cheaper and don't pay more than 5 EGP or less will be better. * To plan for an activity ask many dealers and don't go for one dealer only.

Taxis are about 20LE from Downtown to Naama Bay (ie, they have obvi gone up in the last year) Microbus service stops at every corner and makes a 10min ride take about an hour. To me it was not worth saving 2Euros.

    Haggle.

Now, as to your original question of what is good to explore - the reefs. Get on a scuba course and go diving as that is what Sharm is famous for. Naama Bay is a tourist Hell Hole and worth seeing once as the beaches are bad and dirty (counted 20 or so carrier bags floating in one section of water - TERRIBLE!) Dahab is a little dull. Grab a bus ticket and go to Cairo, too. 12LE one way it's super cheap. Shark's Bay is a lovely place to snorkel. Bring yoru own stuff, though, as it's about 8Euro to hire rubbish equipment. Oh, and bring your own suntan cream as Nivea was 20euro in one place in the centre of Naama :D
