. Troy replied over 4 years agoLa Bodega: Great atmosphere but watch the gazpacho
Smart high-ceilinged restaurant which has echoes of 1920s Cairo. Mediterranean/North African cuisine - just stay clear of the Mexican gazpacho, so called because it invites Montezuma's revenge.

Mikko Jokinen replied over 3 years agoIt is better to stay with the international cuisine in Cairo. Usually the best restaurants are in the hotels. Try Revolving Retaurant on the top of Grand Hyatt has the greatest view. If you wish to have a great steak, got to the Marriot in Zamalek - or near the airport (15 min) is Mirage City Marriot. That is the best steakhouse around. If you wish to have a cruise, try the Nile Maxim. It sails from the front of Zamalek Marriott. It is the best of the boats. For an evening out in a club and eat at the same time, across the road from Conrad is Sangria. It is on the Nile and you can see lots of locals there and they are quite friedly. There are a lot more, but try these first. At the old Nile Hilton - nowadays Nile Hotel - there is a rooftop restaurant Mojitos, which is nice on a warm evening.

Sahaj Agarwal replied over 2 years agoThe best Oriental food I had in Cairo. The restaurant is situated by the Nile. Want more? Ask for a table on Le Deck. Its a floating deck on the Nile and the food is served there also. I can say its the most famous restaurant in Cairo city for Oriental food.

Sahaj Agarwal replied over 2 years agoThis is the restaurant which is most talked about for Moroccan cuisine. The restaurant chef herself is Moroccan and prepares the most authentic and delicious Moroccan food ever. Ask for Tagine, you will love it. After dinner, try having a shisha by the Nile and relax. Perfect end to a busy day!
