Worth visiting if you have any free time, lovely place by the sea...yes, it is outside copenhagen, but with a car it is in 30 to 40 minutes drive and great seaside views!

If you don't need museum entry etc. or if you're not buzzing around the city all day, then you don't need a Copenhagen Card, instead you can buy a strip of train journeys for 125 DKK, called a "2 Zoner". Buy it from the machines at the stations with your credit card or coins. E.g. if your trip is across 4 zones then clip it twice (2 * 2 zones).

Luigi B replied over 3 years agoStrøget (literally "the stroke") is a carfree zone in Copenhagen, Denmark. This popular tourist attraction in the centre of town is the longest pedestrian shopping area in Europe. [1]
The street is bounded on the west by The City Hall Square (Danish: Rådhuspladsen), the central town square by Copenhagen City Hall, and on the east by Kongens Nytorv ("The King's New Square"), another large square at the other end. But the Strøget area is actually a collection of streets that spread out from this central thoroughfare

Ludovic Hirlimann replied over 3 years agoThe walk to get to the mermaid is long - and the statue is not very interesting nor even nice. Like Alcides I will not go back to see it. You can spend you time in CPH way more wisely.
