Stuttgart has plenty of food-shops, especially in the suburbs. This includes a variety of shops of non German nationals, as there are historically Italian, Greek, Turkish and nowadays as well Chinese ( usually generic Asian food) as well as Indian and Tamil.

If you think about high quality food - meat, bread and a large diversity of fruit, vegetables and spices, visit the "Markt Halle" - a classical market hall, built 1914 by famous Stuttgart architect Martin Elsässer in "art nouveau" stile, which implies , it's also worth a visit from an architectural view point. Openings mo-fr 7am-6:30pm, sat 7am-4pm

This tip has the address "Dorotheenstraße 4, 70178 Stuttgart - 200 meters from town hall, 500 mtrs from main station 200 mtrs from tram station "Schlossplatz""
