Excellent food, excellent beer, low price and a nice ambiance. Always packed to the last corner, you might have to share tables with other people, which is mostly fun. One of the best places to go in Munich downtown.

There's an amazing tapas place called Bar Tapas (http://www.bar-tapas.com) in the superhip neighbourhood Schwabing that's always packed with locals and serves excellent food. Come early though, before the sangria is all gone.

Also, for the young and spry there is an insane nightclub scene all over Bavaria, but Munich is perhaps the best. There are a few ways to commit an all-night club or pub crawl, but I recommend the fairly trashy yet surprisingly non-sketchy Nacht Gallerie, which has ludicrously low alcohol prices and a few rooms where you can escape the heavy techno.

Haven't stayed at the hotel, but they have a great Bar / Lounge area downstairs with an excellent Gin selection

Hard to find, small, extremely crowded, but the coolest most awesome bar in Munich. DJs are selected from the visitors (but the sign up sheet is full half a year in advance).

Great vegetarian restaurant.

Local dishes of meat and sausages. The fresh beer is from one of the original breweries in Munich. Stop for a beer, stay for a meal or spend the evening inside the big beer hall or in the backyard garden.

chargeable and really unless you are into buying bmw jackets not worth it

I can highly recommend Das Kranz as one of the best places for high quality organic food in Munich. Make your own selection of what combination you wish. Prices might be a bit higher, but you will find yourself in a great interior design with casual but demanding restaurant vistors. Based in the middle of the Glockenbach-Viertel, the creative center in Munich, you will find styelish bars and clubs just around the corner. Up for an experiment, head to the Kranz.

One of my favorite Biergärten in Munich. It is located at the shore of a small lake and easy to access by car, public transportation, or a pleasurable walk through the park ("Englischer Garten").

Valley's is a great place to eat, drink a beer or a radler, and to play some good old Schafkopfen. Very relaxed and also a bit "bürgerlich", but not too much!

At Segafredo near Residenzstraße, you can have the best espresso in town. Feels like Italy in this cosy bar.
