Frankfurt, Germany + Add a trip

I wanted to sample German cuisine at its best and I wasn't disappointed. Recommended also for its authentic interior (long wooded benches and all!). Located in the pleasant Sachsenhausen area, close to the Museum Embankment (Museumsufer) and the river Main.

Great food, cooked fresh/made to order. Chilled atmosphere.

The better German restaurant of the two on the beloved Schweizer Straße. Nice atmosphere, lovely staff (offering you happily an English menu), German food at its absolute best, and maybe the best Apfelwein in town.

Having two terraces and a lot of tables, it's always safe to assume to get a table in this locally popular restaurant. Try the Frankfurter Platte (min. 2 persons) and don't forget to taste their heavenly Grüne Soße.

Best nouvelle hessoise cuisine. Old german and hessian dishes served up with a twist in a interesting, non-standard satirical environment. A must-go.
