This city is nicknamed Mainhatten as its tall buildings although on a smaller scale remind alot of visitors of New York. Believe it or not Frankfurt is the only city in Europe that allows the construction of such scrapers directly in the city centre. Visit the River Main Bridges to get the best views. Around this area is also many places to sit and relax on a hot day. Within the city centre is the forth largest bulding Main Tower. For €4.50 you can travel up to the top for views across the city.

Murakami exhibition

MMK Museum für Moderne Kunst in Frankfurt/Main presents the most comprehensive retrospective to date of the works of Takashi Murakami. In May 2008, Time Magazine cited Murakami as one of the 100 most influential people in the world. As with the case of the major Sturtevant exhibition in 2004, the entire museum will be devoted to showcasing Murakami’s oeuvre. For the duration of the exhibition, only works by this artist will be on view, with the MMK transforming itself, as the title suggests, into a © MURAKAMI Museum.
