Jonathan Tanner replied about 1 year agoThe Zollverein World Heritage Site – also known as “the world’s most beautiful coal mine” – today the most famous industrial monument and centre of the creative industry in the Ruhr area. I spent a whole day at the mine and could easily have spent a whole week. The place is the equivalent of Tate modern in terms of an industrial site transformed into a cultural / arts centre. The mine museum is absolutely amazing I would thoroughly recommend a visit.
