If you like Asian food, I can recommend two places:

    1. Toca Rouge, a small restaurant with very good food. I can not classify the style, never had such before. Some say it is chinese. Great Service, not expensive, no need for an reservation (Torstraße 195, 10115 Berlin)

    2. Mister Vuong is hip. It is a Vietnamese restaurant, very stylish, always full but the attentive waiters find a free spot after a short time. The food is very good, the menu very small but, so watch out for the daily specials on the chalk boards. Also not expensive. (Alte Schönhauser Strasse 46, 10119 Berlin)

These are just two I like. Berlin is full of good restaurants, you can find them everywhere. So if you are in an other part than "Mitte" I proably wouldn't take a long ride to eat in the restaurants mentioned above. You can most likely find a good one in a walking distance.

Since Berlin is famous for Currywurst, you should check out Curry 36 at Mehringdamm (quite next door to Mustafa's Gemüsekebap ;-)) Monsieur Vuong is definitely great but really uncool if you can't get rid of your baggage before (always full, always tight).
