Modern vietnamese. Gets very busy. Good fresh food, good for vegetarians

A palace of meat. A little difficult to find as it's off the street on a lower level by the river. The one vegetarian option was surprisingly good.

Great italian restaurant right on Friedrichstrasse! A bit on the pricy side, but well worth it!

Unbelievably great food. The fried goatcheese salad is to die for. I also lust for the braised Beef Cheeks.

Aigner Gendarmenmarkt

Fabulous Christmas dinner (huge buffet) at this fancy yet welcoming restaurant. A bit more expensive that elsewhere but so worth it.

A very tasty restaurant plus lounge, offering a breathtaking view of Berlin's city.

Cafe Möhring

Excellent food, relaxing atmosphere. You can even hear the students practice at the music school nearby. Don't forget to try the delicious Apfelstrudel.

California burritos in Berlin

There's a great San Francisco-inspired burrito joint near Alexanderplatz, called Dolores (after the street in SF). Big yummy burritos and other Mexican-American treats that will fill you up without emptying your wallet. Clean, friendly, and fun too.

Nola's am Weinberg: great brunch on sundays!

Right in the middle of Weinberg park (just off Veteranenstrasse in the Mitte quarter) you'll find a great spot for your sunday brunch: Nola's am Weinberg. A sort of pavillion overlooking the park and they serve great food!

To Loc is a great hole-in-the-wall Vietnamese place. Expect it to take a while, it's usually very crowded, but well worth the wait.

200+ amazing cocktails created with fresh fruits and vegetables. Venue is so-so, but the quality of the drinks make up for it.

Has a bit of a locals-only vibe, so be nice.

and some of the best cakes I ever had in my life. You MUST check out the 'Baltas carrot cake'

Restaurant called Austria. Cozy, great in the winter. Really down home.

Lemongrass

What a great Thai restaurant in the Eastern city party of Friedrichshain. Lemongrass doesn't exactly look great, but it's one of the better Thai restaurants for small money that I've been to

Nette Kneipe, gutes Essen, angenehme Leute. WiFi kostenlos. Wird gerade diagonal zwei-geteilt (Raucher/Nichtraucher). Nahe Warschauer Straße und Simon-Dach-Straße.

Il Baretto Coffee Shop

The best coffee in town is served with delicious sandwiches and cakes in the cozy atmosphere of a neighborhood place in Wrangelstrasse.

Great Sushi-Really Good

In Berlin and really in the mood for sushi, I asked the concierge at my hotel (Movenpick-liked the hotel a lot) for a recommendation. She raved about a small sushi place called Kuchi. Great and very creative menu. Service was fantastic. I put it at a very high level.

Really nice place for having a delicious und healthy breakfast. Near the Alexanderplatz the oliv is located right on one of Mittes busiest streets.

The best Schnitzel

The best Schnitzel in Berlin (and maybe the world) can definitely be enjoyed in Lutter & Wegner at Potzdamerplatz. If you still wonder, whether or not you should go, just remember that Barack Obama himselft went to L&W for the Schnitzel and the word on the street is that he really dugg it!

The restaurant is across the street from Ritz Carlton, which is probably one of the nicest hotels in Europe.

Cafe´ Mir

Everytime I'm in Berlin I stay at the street where this café is placed. It's not all the food that is that good, but it doesn't dissapoint you. I would recommend 'zwei münchener weisswürste mit breze und süssem senf' for breakfast. Two very pale sausages from bayern and a good example on german cuisine. Furthermore the atmosphere is really nice and down to earth. Recommend. Also located across from Görlitzer Park.

St. Oberholz

Very nice spot to chill out, get new facebook friends on their free wireless, have a drink or a bite.

The contrast to the little back alley bar across the wall in the yard is simply amazing. Staff at Pan Asia is very professional and very friendly.

On the left, 20 meters down Uhlandstraße from Ku'Damm. Good pasta dishes, fast food like, but with real food. Does take-away as well. Had Spaghetti Carbonara, very tasty. Speedy service, very friendly staff.

a very small but incredibly nice and charming tapas bar. Absolutely ideal for small groups of friends or especially couples who like to share a big plate of very delicious cold and warm tapas in an romantic and sultry atmosphere. They got a huge collection of good red wines too.
