Small place, very minimalistic with an open kitchen, always packed. The few dishes they serve are all very tasty and have creative ingredients. Wrong place to go to if you are looking for sweet and sour or chop suey. Right place to go to if diced beef with pear and sweet potatoes are are what you have in mind.
Most expensive items on the menu are mains, all @ 6,90 Euros

It will be months before I look at another sausage after staying in Berlin.

Lulu LaMer replied over 3 years agoAll great suggestions so far. I also VERY HIGHLY recommend Nil Imbiss, a Sudanese lunch joint. Their standard thing is a spiced "falafel" served in pita with yogurt, eggplant sauce, peanut sauce, lettuce and tomato, all for 2.5 euro. It's amazing. Their halloumi, Nil Chicken and Kofte are all great too. There's another location on Oppelner Strasse in Kreuzberg near Schlesisches Tor U-bahn.

Eero Pailinna replied over 3 years agoI'd go for Elburai Imbiss, a Sudanese eatery on Torstrasse They've got delicious and quick rolls filled with delicacies such as balls made out of mashed potatoes and minced meat, combined with loads of fresh salads! The people keeping the restaurant running are very nice and the atmosphere is great.
