Florin Dr replied over 4 years agoThis place is terribly overpriced, while the food is good it's certainly not worth the hefty prices. Please check the user's opinions on reasonable places to eat

eva doyle replied over 4 years agoNot bad for lunch but overpriced and the wine selection is not good. If you are a rugby fan, they always have a big screen for the 6 Nations. This is a very civilised alternative to one of the Irish pubs

eva doyle replied over 4 years agoHaven't been there since Gordon Ramsey pulled out. Good place for a discreet lunch as it is usually pretty empty. Also they do a 3 course lunch special which is very reasonable. I would not go here for dinner though. Wine is very expensive.

Jean-Philippe Leboeuf replied over 3 years ago- The alcoholic drinks are far too soft ("Hey, is there really some vodka in this glass?"). - The food is not very good (I and my friends tested the Mexican food). - The loud sound can make you have a headache.
Not recommended.

In the new steak house situated right in the heart of Prague, you can find attributes inspirated by Texas, Mexico, Kansas or Brazil.
The restaurant is set in two floors. You will be surprised by an extraordinary variety of giant steaks for absolutely unbelievable prices.
We use South American beef to prepare your steaks. If you are not a particular steak-lover, we also have a large offer of fish, hamburgers and delicious salads.
My experiences: - great food - big portions - nice price - good service

Holly Golightly replied over 3 years agoThe "Bed Lounge" provides beds for customers to loll on whilst quaffing cocktails. The decor is ultra trendy all white, softened by coloured lightening and ambient tunes. Get a bed upstairs and you'll feel like a celeb as all the curious passer bys stare at you, even taking photos from time to time!
Cocktails are good and whilst not the cheapest in Prague, they're not ridiculously expensive.
The menu is not particularly imaginative - mostly simple pasta dishes. However, it's well executed and tasty.
A good place to practice posing!

Holly Golightly replied over 3 years agoA trendy little cafe, serving good coffee. Imaginative decor and comfy chairs for chilling in. Serves cakes, but I don't think it does meals.

Holly Golightly replied over 3 years agoI ate here twice and had imaginative, fresh, tasty salads both times. Also had brushetta, which was also very nice. I didn't have desert, but the cakes on the counter looked good.
The drinks menu is imaginative. I had a "Bezinka", which is white wine, elderflower cordial, topped with soda water and mint leaves.
The cafe is on a quiet square with a monastery on one corner. There are a few small tables on the street, which is very pleasant in summer. Inside the cafe has exposed beams, painstakingly painted with medieval style floral decoration.

Holly Golightly replied over 3 years agoI haven't been to this pub, but according to the Ostra Botanicus leaflet...
"Local Czech food and drink are offered in our unusual and lovely 1920's pub, 'the Thirsty Fish', restored with period decor and open form 11.00 to 23.00 hrs every day. One salon is totally non-smoking, whilst the terrace offers a delightful venue for evening drinks as the sun slowly sets on the days outing."

Holly Golightly replied over 3 years agoOne person's tribute to that bastion of the kitchen... the oven. An implausible cultural landmark, but one that I think should not to be missed by visitors to Ostra. Unfortunately, I visited Ostra with a friend who begged to differ on this point and wouldn't let me visit it. I look forward to vicarously living through other visitors' reviews in future... ;-)
I'm not sure that I've got exactly the right location on the map. It is on that road and on the side of the road where I've marked it, but I'm not sure that I've got the right house.
