if you have time, go to the zoo, it's one of the best in the world!

Often described as a hidden gem, is putting it mildly. Don't be fooled by the signs in central Prague to it's proximity as it is a fair bit out of the centre (especially if walking), but you can tram/underground then bus it quite easily. You will need a FULL day here it's so huge - set into a hillside, it is unlike any zoo i've seen - ie no 'cages'. Animals have a large area that is often close to their natural habitat (ie the mountain goats have a rocky hillside) to roam and are only have a fence/mesh/glass separating them from the visitors, other areas you can go through a kissing gate to be 'inside' the pen (eg with birds & limas), we stayed there for about 6 hours and didn't see half of what was on offer - definitely worth a full days visit.
