Ignacio Abella replied over 3 years agoNo where, internet access in Cuba is extremely expensive (Almost USD6 an hour). It is available (limited, slow and censored) in major hotels, a couple of internet cafes and to a few privileged Cubans.
This tip has the address "Havana, Cuba" -
Jill Yewell replied over 3 years agoMost of the major hotels around the Capitol Building and on Obispo St in Habana Veija have internet kiosks. A user card could be purchased for 5 CUC (a year ago). That was approx. $5 CAD and good for 1 hr.

Ignacio Abella replied over 2 years agoNo, you're talking to v limited access to Cuba's intranet, not to the world wide web as we know it. While you're right in stating that the embargo has a role on web access, the proposed Venezuelan cable will NOT give access to internet for all. Cuban minister for information has publicly stated that that project WILL NOT GIVE access to all. Also, if web access is payable in CUCs (Cuba's hardcurrenct) at hotels/cybercafes, why are Cubans who live in the island banned from doing it? Everyone is allowed to have CUCs but Cubans living in Cuba cannot go to a cybercafe and use the internet. Is that embargo or censorship?
