Jason Martin replied over 3 years agoFor a first night in Quepos, I would suggest Barba Roja (Red Beard's) up in Manuel Antonio Nat'l Park. It's just a couple of miles up the park road from downtown. Barba Roja is one of the oldest establishments in Quepos and has a rich history that is outlined on the back of the menu. It has one of the best views over the coast and the fare is always fresh and nicely presented. Always fresh seafood, but also steaks and rack of lamb. Second night, go into town and eat at El Gran Escape. Not as great a view, but great food and a fun, helpful staff; better prices also. The local fishermen congregate here and the news is always as fresh as the seafood.
