Blue Frog bars are now an “institution” in Shanghai, amongst both residents and visitors. There are several Blue Frogs in various parts of Shanghai, as well as outlets now in Beijing and Macau. The Maoming Lu (south end) bar is on a quiet, tree lined section of the street in the French Concession area and is in a two storey row of old buildings converted into bars and restaurants. Blue Frog’s popularity over the years comes from the combination of good value western pub food, especially the hamburgers, friendly staff , and good selection of drinks.
