Shaw replied over 4 years agoSkip silk market and head straight to zoo market (aka, the DWY), a warren of buildings packed with fashion wholesalers, across the street from the Beijing Zoo. Hardscrabble entrepreneurs from across China descend upon this fashion mecca and leave with garbage bags full of loot. You'll need a keen eye to pick out winners. No need to bargain here, prices are so low (though posing as a big-time wholesaler might garner a small discount). Avoid weekends; shops close at 4pm

Alexander Conrad replied over 4 years agoPanjiayuan Antique Market is a fun place to shop or browse....I find this market to have more interesting people watching too. SE 3rd Ring Rd. No clothes here though....plenty of those at places like Zoo, Yashow, Silk Mkt, etc.

Chandler Jurinka replied over 4 years agoThere is a website called localnoodles that has 100% user generated (untainted by paid opinions) feedback on the local markets in Beijing. I highly suggest checking this site before you go.
