  The Ritz Carlton is probably the best hotel at the moment together with the Hyatt. Location of the former is better. But look out for the new W Hotel (from May 2009) in Plaza Peru in El Golf and the Aubrey - Santiago's first boutique hotel which is opening soon (was planned for April 2009?) in Bellavista. Rumour also has it that the owners of the El Indigo in Puerto Natales are considering a boutique hotel in Vitacura. I have only stayed at the Ritz which is very good (apart from the building site on its front door step – the las Condes cultural centre due for completion in 2010). For longer stays the El Bosque Suites is best of the bunch of otherwise disappointing (apparently) aparthotels. I stayed there 4 weeks and it was perfectly OK and more affordable than the Ritz.

Where's good to stay in Santiago?

  The Ritz Carlton isn't shown in the correct place on the map. The hotel is El Golf neighbourhood. The address seems to be correct.though: Calle El Alcalde 15, Las Condes.
