pilar pacheco replied over 3 years agoSan Cristobal, in the Bellavista neighborhood, is a good option; you can walk, take a bike ride or go up in a taxi cab. You can stay in the same neighborhood and have lunch at Galindo on Constitucion street.
If you have time, and you want to get away from Santiago, you can visit the nearby city of Valparaíso (about 1 hr. away, by bus).

Nicolás Dutzan replied over 3 years agoDowntown is where you know the real Santiago. You must to visit La Moneda goverment palace (La Moneda subway station), The Constitution and the Plaza de Armas squares and the Catholic Cathedral. After that, you maight visit the Santa Lucia s Hill (Santa Lucia subway station). Try the calsical chilean hot-dogs at Dominos or have a lunch at Bar Nacional on New York St. The second day you could go to Cajon del Maipo or Farellones where you can see the beautiful mountains and landscapes. At night you may go out and visit The Ñuñoa Square, there you will have diferent places with diferent styles, drinks and food.
