Il Nibbio Cabane is the best restaurant in Lugano. If you like interesting interior, art, great food and Italian music, it's a must restaurant for you. Il Nibbio has wooden floors, wooden tables and chairs, walls all covered with amazing paintings, full of newspapers and bottles and bottles of various drinks. The menu is original, with food you haven't found anywhere else. If you have kids or if you are going there with someone who is a bit picky, there are the usual pizzas and all kind of vegetables you can imagine. The restaurant is suitable for vegans too. The staff is really friendly and helpful. In the evening, a musician comes to play a guitar and sing. He is amazing. It all add to the restaurant. My recommendation is risotto with champagne and truffles.

Why not take a bus up into the hills to Tesserete and go to the Stazione Resturante just above the bus station. Glorious food, lovely atmosphere and a taste of real Switzerland x

Try the Sosta in Carona. It is has a very good menu in the evenings. Lunch menu is more limited Great fresh ingredients, good service and nice atmosphere

A new restaurant just opened in via Riviera, Cassarate (15 minutes walk from the center, in a wonderful location). It's the Ristorante "Vecchia Lugano". Try it: good food at reasonable price. With a nice terrasse with view on the lake..

Nice bar, nice cocktails, nice waiters. Recommended!
