Stella Stopfer replied over 3 years agoVia Nassa is the best place to buy food. At the beginning of the street is a food store with stalls of fresh fruit and vegetables in front, and inside you can find rice, pasta, olive oil etc. Up the street you can find Salumeria, a place to buy cured meet and another place that sells only cheese. So if you are a gourmand, that's the place to go. Besides that, you can find stalls with great sandwiches if you want to take a quick bite.

Stella Stopfer replied over 3 years agoManor is a great Swiss department store. In Lugano, go down to the -1 level of Manor, that's where the food is. You can find organic fruit and vegetables, all kinds of pasta, rice, spices, chocolate, anything that you can imagine. If you want to cook something for yourself while you're staying there, find rice with mixed seasoning, those risottos are great. Or you can buy them and make them when you return home. Pay attention to little jars with sauces too. When you go down the stairs, the first thing you'll notice is bread, pastry and huge pizzas! And while you're there, you can have lunch and choose from European and Asian cuisine.
