Hotel Victoria

Very close to the train station (less than a 5 minute walk), and well situated to the main sections of the city. A luxurious hotel, with nicely done art work on every flat surface.

Wifi is not included, and is fairly painful since there is no 24 hour or multi-day option. I am resorting to 4 hour cards at 19 swiss francs!

Breakfast is well-done, but not included, and must be ordered the night before, or so I was informed.

The Movenpick is ideally situated on the banks of the Lake...ideal for an early morning run. If there on frequent business travel, the staff really do go the extra mile in making you feel welcome.

When I say the rooms are huge, that is an understatement. It is actually big enough to have a small office, a big bath and a small couch. The furnishings are pretty hold and it is a pain to walk to the bedrooms, especially if you are unlucky enough to get one on the 5 or 6th floors. However, it is very centrally located, 5 minutes walk to the Lausanne Gare.
