I walked up the hill from La Gare to L'Indochine ( Av. d'Ehcallens 82, 1004 Lausanne, Tél. 021/625 88 88), a wonderful walk and a fabulous restaurant. They remembered me from a recent visit, and I ordered the same meal: a large Pho (beef noodle soup), and a spicy beef with dark chili sauce, some thing like Yu Tuxao. Great. Too dark for photos. Good wine selection, fabulous service.

James Goggin replied over 2 years agoClassic simple and honest French bistro interior, very good food, priced slightly higher than one might expect, but worth it.

Pete Panasupon replied about 1 year agoI had the pork shank in madeira sauce, served with rôsti. It was fantastic. The pork was succulent, the sauce it was cooked in was a perfect balance of saltiness and sweetness - I assume from madeira sugar. The crispy potato also went well with the sauce. For 31CHF a dish. You can easily share this between two people!
