L'ô à la bouche on ruede la Servette, it's not completely budget, but if you take a plat du jour, you won't ever be disappointed. La feuille de Banane on rue de Carouge. Le petit comestible (between Rotisserie and rue du Marché) for the best Sandwiches in town (I shouldn't share that secret)

La Trattoria de Tonino at 1 Rue de la Servette. They have the best Penne Siciliana ever!

Try the cafeteria on the top floor of Manor department store, near to Cornavin train station. There is a huge selection of food to suit most tastes and you will not pay the earth.

For a cheap meal on the go try any of the coop restaurants, fresh salad/ pasta and pizza - just fill up your bowl with as much food as you can and your friendly chef will roll out the pizza dough, flatten it and add you toppings to a tomato/ cheese base all for around 13 CHF. Serve you own beer and you are away!!

Chez ma Cousine serve good chicken for a very good price! Its a nice small restaurant in the old part of Geneva. The area around the restaurant is quite nice.
