Great coffee, food, used clothing stores... and just about all the right fun for a locals only shopping experience.

David Ing replied over 4 years agoDay or night, the Annex -- Bloor Street West, between Spadina and Bathurst -- always has restaurants open and neighbourhood shopping. See http://wikitravel.org/en/Toronto/The_Annex .
I agree that Kensington market is fun and bohemian, but it's dead at night. St. Lawrence Market is great for lunch as the local farmer's market, but is open only during office hours.
