Duck Breast at "Le Retro"

I was looking for dinner and stumbled across this restaurant. I ordered the 'full dinner' (e.g. soup of the day, main course, dessert). The soup of the day was nothing to be proud of, and the main course (maigret de canard avec poires) took a long time to arrive thereafter -- BUT it was definitely worth the wait. The skin was crispy & salty, and this was a fantastic contrast with the slightly sweet sauce and pear slices.

So. Uhm. It was _really_ good. If you go here, bring someone with you that can entertain you while you wait for the food though :)

Argentine Tango at "Les Salons D'Edgar"

Each sunday night there is an argentine tango evening at a pool hall called "les Salons D'Edgar". I went there yesterday. A slight word of warning: The average level of the dancers there was quite intimidating - I doubt anyone had less than 4-5 years of active dancing.

Verdict: If you're quite confident in your skills, you can go here for dancing. If you're not quite that confident, it's still interesting to watch.

A great place to eat is a small place called le café du clocher penché on Saint Joeph Street. The focus on local produce, have small wooden tables with cotton table cloths, a nice wine list and friendly servcie. Once you hve finished ating just pop over to the Cercle, just across the street,and listen to live music, eat some tapas(yes more food) and drink wine.
