Joseph Thornley replied over 3 years agoWasabi on Clarence Street in the Market has the best sushi in the city. The Empire Grill, also on Clarence Street in the market, is great both for meeting friends and dinner. The Metropolitain, at the corner of Sussex and Rideau, boasts a French bistro ambience and menu.

David Schlesinger replied over 3 years agoIf you want to do the usual tourist thing, there's no shortage of places right around the Byward Market. My favorite place, however, is "Sweetgrass: A Native American Bistro" on Murray Street, near the US Embassy.
This tip has the address "108 Murray Street, Ottawa, Ontario Canada" -
Meghan Gough replied over 2 years agoHmmm, Ottawa isn't exactly known as a sushi city, although Wasabi is not bad for standard sushi. If you want to splurge, try the Wellington Gastropub, Sweetgrass is nice, or Beckta. If you want budget, Ottawa has a lot of great Thai restaurants. If you want pub faire, the Manx on Elgin is great.

Jesse Burcsik replied about 1 year agoGet a poutien from Sasha's chip stand, have a beer at the Dominion tavern and then goto china town for a bubble tea!
Beckta is Ottawa's only 5 star resty if you have the $$ do it for real ( http://www.beckta.com/ ) For a diner goto Elgin Street Diner ( http://www.elginstreetdiner.com/) For Sushi goto Gengi (http://www.genji.ca/ )
