Sasha Miguel replied over 4 years agoGreat spot for a small, fancy bite and homebrews. Gets a bit rowdy after 11pm. Try the Velvet Snakebite (cider, beer and cassis) or split a bottle of Québec ice cider among friends.

Sasha Miguel replied over 4 years agoSpirite Lounge is a unique experience. The owner/cook/waiter is a real character, and seems to live behind one of the many curtained rooms in this house/restaurant with an opium den feel. He cooks one meal every day, and that is what you are having. Be warned that he can be as salty as his food, especially if you don't clear your plate. The meals are vegan and delicious. Note also that he only takes cash. If you play by his rules, you will have a great time and enjoy a once-in-a-lifetime meal.

Daniel Baylis replied over 4 years agoOne of the great things about the city is that Tourisme Montréal has hired five 'insiders' to dish the scoop on what is happening.
They cover five topics: Food, Nightlife, Arts & Culture, Gay Life and Girls' Getaway.

Jjessica Sselwanjja replied over 4 years agoLe Commensal is a great vegetarian pay-by-weight buffet. With distinct labelling on all dishes [vegan, contains milk, contains eggs, gluten free] it's a sweet spot just off St-Catherines. Huge salad bar is sure to please. Can be pricey if you're looking for a substantial meal but worth the buck.

Roberta Voulon replied over 3 years agoBest place to go for wood oven pizzas! It's really packed for lunch in which case you'll have to come early, but I go there for supper mostly (after a raid at the bookstore Indigo not far from there) when it's much more relaxed. It's been one of our sweet spots for almost 10 years now. The pizza menu is an embarras du choix, and the salads are humongous. Really a place not to miss!
