There's a terrific little tea shop downtown called The Tea Store (teastore.ca). They have fantastic scones, reasonably priced tea -- and free internet. Just be prepared to face the walls of tea paraphernalia that can quickly whittle down your budget if you have poor impulse control when it comes to tea accessories.

This tip has the address "241 Princess Street, kingston, canada"

You can also get WIFI downtown at - The Sleepless Goat - Princess & Wellington - a great spot with good coffee, healthy food options for everyone including vegans, plenty of tables and power. No password required. http://www.thesleeplessgoat.ca

    - Coffee & Company - Princess & Bagot - a nice little coffee shop with big bright windows facing out onto Princess. You need to get the password for the network when you get your coffee.

It's also possible to snag 2 hours per day at any Starbucks if you have a Starbucks prepaid card. It doesn't cost anything to use it, but you do have to put money on the card to get one. (And if you have multiple cards you can use one after another to get more than 2 hours)
