    Sugarbowl

Around the corner from the Garneau theatre, University area, great little spot for a drink and a quick meal or snack. Great music.

This tip has the address "West off 109 street, 88th avenue, south of the High Level bridge"

    Sunterra Market

This is a good downtown delicatessen but a fantastic southside grocery come cafe. They stock a wide range of products including some import products like Marmite.

This tip has the address "Commercial Place and 111St / 57 Ave"

Sunterra and Sugarbowl are great places for breakfast or lunch... but for dinner I recommend The Keg.

There are a lot of Kegs around, but they are still my favorite restaurant and they are surprisingly consistent.

High Level Dinner This is one of my favourite spots in Edmonton. Friendly service and good warm comfort food are the signature at this restaurant. Located at the heart of the student quarters, between Old Strathcona and the University of Alberta, you can even visit your local Hostelling International shop and catch a movie at the old Garneau theatre while you're in that area. It's easy to feel at home in this cosy bohemian atmosphere. Enjoy the work of local artist displayed of the walls and be sure to try their chicken cheddar sandwich, with fries and home made ketchup. Yuuuummm!

Not the best chinese food but really cheap and open late. It's a Hong Kong style cafe (where you get good food fast)
